Achieve Goals Faster:
Introducing the ADVISER Model
Anyone can achieve goals faster if there are clear steps to follow along the way. The ADVISER Model presents a flexible 7-step process that may be successfully applied across fields of human performance for individuals, groups, and organizations.
How did I develop this model? I used the steps for sports training and fitness for many years. As my professional career advanced, I realized that the same underlying processes are used in education, health fields, and business to more directly target performance outcomes.
I also noticed mistakes and disconnected activities among departments and functions that should work in sync toward common goals. For this reason, B.I.G. (Bridging Information Gaps) thinking is built into the ADVISER Model. B.I.G. fosters cohesiveness that prevents deviations from targeted goals. These linkages are used key to successful strategic planning and compliance with accreditation standards in many fields.
In October of 2010, adult training expert Vicki Dieffenderfer and I presented the ADVISER Model at American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) National Conference. What does adult training have in common with sports training? examined the consistencies among training principles and processes both for adults and athletes.

One key advantage of the ADVISER Model is that does not displace other models or processes used in specific fields but, instead, encompasses them.
